Meet Dan

Occupational Therapist & Music Producer

Dan has an OT background in inpatient psychiatric rehabilitation: with experience in working with people with severe mental illness. He has successfully run therapeutic skill groups in: meal preparation, cognitive remediation, gaining employment, transport training, Independent living skills, sensory modulation, IT skills and virtual reality. He also works part time in paediatric Occupational Therapy for children with psychosocial conditions.

Within music, he has 10 years music production experience, a record label release and 2 track placements in Fresh FM’s annual ‘Top 92’ countdown.

10 week program: general guide

Week 1 - Intro, trial equipment, how to set your goals

Week 2 - Start ‘writing’, idea creation, song formatting

Week 3 - Recording, reviewing creations, finalising

Week 4 - Intro: ‘Ideas Library’, self critique basics

Week 5 - ‘Practice for recording’, intro ‘Artist Identity’

Week 6 - Mixing, seeking out inspiration, improvement

Week 7 - ‘Artist Identity’: image, performing, marketing

Week 8 - Collab track, release artwork, film clips

Q) Can I use my NDIS funds?

A) Yes, we work with NDIS participants, charging from their Capacity Building funds under Therapy Supports, with possibility of using Core budget by negotiation.


Q) When do you have appointment slots?

A) Every Friday at 9 am, 10:30 am, 12 pm, 1:30pm, 3 pm & 4:30 pm.


Q) How can I book in?

A) Simply book online instantly, by clicking on our Self Booking system.

Q) Do I need any equipment for music production?

A) I bring all the equipment that we need, you just need an empty table and a power point.


Q) Where will we have our sessions?

A) We come to you! We use your place, but if this is not possible, we can source public spaces (like your local Library or community centre), or head out into the community together if its related to our goals.
